Lone Star Stories Closing
I realized today that I no longer have a sustainable interest in publishing Lone Star Stories. It's been an honor and a pleasure to publish the webzine for five-and-a-half years, and I really appreciate all of the support I've received from editors, authors, and readers. (Thank you, everyone!) However, I just feel the need to take a break from the publishing arena. (It's not a matter of money or time--just a sense that I've reached a good end point.)
Oh, and the Lone Star Stories site will stay up for the foreseeable future. I might resurrect the site someday. We'll see.

5 1/2 years? What a run. What an amazing job. Thank you for all you did for writers, and readers, and whowing what could be done with a webzine.
And on a far more important note, I hope your troubles end very soon. You have a lot of support out there and from me as well.
Thank you for your tireless efforts. I concur with the poster above me: you've contributed much to the field.
Thanks so much for five and a half years of truly pro-level editing.
Dude.
You'll be missed. And not replaced.
Dude.
On the other hand, I wish you the best, and hope this means I'll be seeing more Eric Marin stories.
And maybe I will start writing again. :-)

Thanks for all your work and for keeping the site up. I'm hoping the magazine returns someday.

I wish a time had come, I would have been very proud to see one of my stories in LSS. Maybe, as you say, someday. I hope so. :)
Best for the future,
JSR

All the best

Well, damn! I was just about to send you something . . .
More to the point, congratulations (and thanks) for all the good work you've done with LSS over the years. Sad to see it go, but a joy that it existed as long as it did.
A good market is hard to find, a good editor even harder. So yeah, this depresses the hell out of me, but I know you wouldn't do this unless this was the right decision for you. That's the important thing.
Now go forth and write that novel. And make sure I get to read it
I'll make sure you get to see my novel, if I ever write it. Of course, you may regret asking to read it. *grin*
And good luck with Whatever Comes Next.
